Trump Predicts Oil Prices Will Plummet Once Conflict with Iran Ends
US President Donald Trump claimed that global oil prices will drop significantly once the conflict with Iran comes to an end. Speaking briefly before departing the White House, Trump stated that 'oil will come dropping down as soon as Iran gives up, as soon as the war is over, which will be soon.'
In his remarks, Trump highlighted energy production trends and pointed out that a record volume of oil was extracted overnight, surpassing pre-war production levels. He also mentioned that grocery prices have fallen sharply under his administration, with almost every price decreasing.
Trump's comments come as the US President has been critical of Iran's proposal for a seven-day ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which he rejected. The Iranian government has maintained its stance on the issue, with President Masoud Pezeshkian stating that Tehran will remain resolute and not retreat in the face of the United States and Israel.
