Trump Rejects Iran Peace Deal, WTI Crude Oil Prices Rise
US President Donald Trump's rejection of an Iranian peace deal has sent West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices rising, trading at around $93.05 during early Asian hours on Monday.
The proposal aimed to end the US-Iran conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump claimed Tehran was desperate to make a deal, per Reuters.
Iran stated it's awaiting a definitive US response to its seven-day proposal and won't soften its conditions.
