Trump Rejects Iran Peace Proposal, Sends Oil Prices Soaring
Oil prices have surged to new heights after US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's peace proposal, raising concerns about ongoing conflict and disrupted global oil trade.
The price of Brent crude climbed to $107.8 per barrel while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at $95.46 as a result of the rejection.
Additionally, reports emerged that the US government may introduce a temporary ban on diesel exports, potentially increasing crude oil availability in the market and putting pressure on WTI prices.
However, despite improved oil flows from the Persian Gulf, broader supply concerns dominate market sentiment due to ongoing fears of prolonged conflict.
