Trump Rejects Iran's Plan to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

However, within hours of Araghchi's comments, US President Donald Trump reportedly rejected the proposal, citing skepticism about Tehran meeting his demands.
Iran has emphasized that it will not surrender its sovereign rights under pressure and requires ships to obtain authorization before passage through the waterway. The conflict has been ongoing for nearly seven months, with the US and Iran at a stalemate.
