Trump Rejects Iran's Proposal on Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran's latest proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end hostilities in the Middle East. The Iranian plan, which was submitted through Qatari mediators, offered to open the strait within seven days if certain conditions were met by the US.

The proposed conditions included lifting the naval blockade on Iranian ports, providing relief on sanctions regarding Iranian oil sales, and implementing a ceasefire that also covers the conflict in Lebanon.

Trump argued that Iran is eager to reach a deal due to economic pressure, but maintained that he remains open to reaching a deal. However, the direction of negotiations is now uncertain after Trump's statement rejecting the proposal.
