Trump Rejects Iran's Proposed Deal Amid Escalating Tensions

A proposed deal between Iran and the US could ease military pressure on Iran and lift its blockade on Iranian ports, but President Trump has rejected it.

The proposal would require the US to release $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets, waive sanctions on Iranian oil, and lift a naval blockade on Iran. In return, Iran would end fighting for seven days, including in Lebanon, and open the Strait of Hormuz within that timeframe.

However, Trump stated that Iran wants to make a deal where they can open the strait immediately because they're losing badly.
