Trump Threatens Economic Consequences for Countries Supporting Iran
US President Donald Trump has issued a warning to countries doing business with Iran, stating that they will face 'tremendous economic consequences' if they continue to provide any type of lifeline to the country.
In a Truth Social post, Trump announced the 'most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country', but did not provide further details.
The warning comes after the UAE suspended all trade activities with Iran until further notice, citing regional escalation and security concerns.
Oil prices rose for a fifth straight session in early trading on Thursday, with Brent crude futures climbing 0.2 percent to $91.82 a barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures remaining flat at $84.41.
