Trump Unveils Multi-Billion Dollar Energy Infrastructure Plan
US President Donald Trump announced significant investments in energy infrastructure on Wednesday.
The centerpiece of his announcement is a proposed $22.3 billion natural gas power facility in Encinal, Texas, which would be among the largest ever built.
The facility will have a capacity of 6.5 gigawatts and solidify the US position as a leader in nuclear energy, according to Trump.
In addition to the Texas project, Trump also announced plans for eight new large nuclear reactors, which he said would strengthen the country's global nuclear energy standing.
