Trump-Xi Summit Falls Short for Grain Markets
Grain futures plummeted overnight as investors await specifics on new U.S. agricultural purchases from China following the Trump-Xi summit.
The lack of concrete commitments has left traders in limbo, causing corn and winter wheat futures to hit four-week and six-week lows respectively.
December corn dropped 10 cents, while November soybeans fell by 13 cents.
Winter wheat futures also suffered, with December SRW down 16 cents and HRW down 16 1/4 cents.
