Oil prices took a dip on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump announced 'very good' talks between the US and Iran at the United Nations.

The three-hour meeting was seen as a shift from purely escalating prices to a genuine diplomatic process, according to Stephen Innes at Quintex Intel.

Brent crude fell 0.3% to $98.91 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate dropped 0.7% to $89.93 per barrel in early Asian trade.
