Trump's Venezuelan Oil Deal Fails to Impress Analysts

President Donald Trump recently announced a major oil deal with Venezuela on his Truth Social platform. He claimed it was the 'biggest oil deal in history', which would secure 65 billion barrels of oil reserves for the United States and lower gas prices at the pump.

However, analysts are skeptical about this claim. AAA reports that national gas prices have surged by 28 percent since last year, with the average remaining above $4 per gallon every day this month.

Economic analyst Henrietta Treyz of Veda Partners believes any incoming Venezuelan oil would more likely be used to replenish the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve rather than provide immediate relief to consumers.
