TSX Futures Slip on Rising Yields and Oil Prices Ahead of Fed Meeting
The TSX futures slipped lower on Tuesday as yields and oil prices rose ahead of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting.
The S&P/TSX 60 index standard futures contract fell by 3 points, or 0.2%, to 11:05 GMT.
This decline comes despite the S&P/TSX composite index inching up by a marginal 0.01% on Monday to finish at 35,702.53, which is just above a six-week low notched last week.
The materials sector retreated as gold and copper prices sank due to growing bets that the Fed will tighten policy this week.
