Tunisia's Wheat Stocks Expected to Last Until Early 2027

Tunisia's wheat stocks are sufficient to cover the country's needs until January 2027, according to Salwa Ben Hadid Zouari, head of the state Cereals Office. The cereal harvest this year reached about 1.1 million metric tons, with durum wheat accounting for around 70 percent of the total.

The announcement was made by Zouari on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Durum wheat is a staple crop in Tunisia and plays a significant role in the country's agriculture sector.
