Turkey's Natural Gas Market Sees 59% Trade Volume Surge
Türkiye's spot natural gas market saw an increase in trade volume on Tuesday, according to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST). The total trade amount rose by 59.1% to around 3.5 million Turkish liras compared to Monday's 2.2 million.
The spot market price for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas was 17,267.50 liras on Tuesday. The cumulative natural gas trade volume reached approximately 203,000 cubic meters during the day.
Türkiye received about 90.5 cubic meters of gas on Tuesday. This marks a significant increase in supply following recent efforts to boost natural gas imports.
