Türkiye Spot Natural Gas Market Sees Trade Volume Surge

Türkiye's spot natural gas market saw a notable uptick in trade volume on Sunday, October 4, rising by 8.1% to approximately 3.25 million Turkish liras. This increase followed a total trade value of about 3.01 million liras on the previous day, according to data from Türkiye's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST).

The spot market price for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas settled at 18,815 Turkish liras on Sunday. The cumulative trade volume for natural gas reached around 173,000 cubic meters, while Türkiye received about 88.82 million cubic meters of natural gas during the same period.

At the time of reporting on Monday, the exchange rate stood at 49.16 Turkish liras per US dollar, providing context for the market's financial transactions.
