Türkiye's Gabar Oil Field Breaks Record with 83,300 Barrels Per Day

The Gabar oil field in southeastern Türkiye has reached a new record of daily output, producing 83,300 barrels per day. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the country's energy sector, which has faced challenges due to terrorism in the region. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar attributed this increase in production to the 'terror-free Türkiye' initiative, which aims to eradicate terrorism from the country.

Bayaraktar noted that the Gabar oil field, once associated with terrorism, has transformed into a hub for oil production, employment, and hope. He highlighted that the region's security and peace have enabled state-run Turkish Petroleum (TPAO) to conduct seismic surveys and drilling operations freely. Since 2021, TPAO has produced over 50 million barrels of crude oil from the Gabar fields.

The minister emphasized that this success story is a testament to what can be achieved in a 'terror-free Türkiye.' He pledged to continue working tirelessly to increase production and provide hope for the future of citizens. Bayraktar also mentioned Ankara's efforts to expand international partnerships and exploration, further boosting the country's oil and gas production.
