U.S. Corn Exports Surge as Wheat Shipments Stall
U.S. corn export shipments are gaining momentum, according to the USDA's Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS). In the week ending July 30, corn export inspections reached 1.9 million tons, a 22.9% increase from the previous week and 45.4% higher than in the same week last year.
This surge in exports is part of a larger trend for U.S. corn, which has seen 77.3 million tons pass export inspection since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year - an increase of 25.4% compared to the same period a year earlier.
The wheat segment, on the other hand, remains under pressure. Weekly wheat export inspections totaled 335.3 thousand tons, down 19.7% from the previous week and 51.4% lower than the corresponding week last year.
