U.S. LNG Exports Slump on Feed Gas Drop and Freeport Maintenance

The feed gas supporting U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports dipped by 3% in Q2, according to Industrial Info Resources.

Maintenance at the Freeport LNG facility is limiting the potential for exports, with feed gas levels currently around 2 Bcf/d below recent records.

Natural gas production, however, has increased sequentially so far this year, averaging 109.8 Bcf/d during Q1 and rising another 1.1 Bcf/d in Q2.
