U.S. Stocks Slide Amid Higher Treasury Yields, Crude Oil Prices

U.S. stocks experienced a mostly downward trend during Tuesday's trading session, following Monday's losses. This downturn saw the major averages decline, with the S&P 500 reaching its lowest closing level in over a month.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (Dow) dropped by 328.09 points or 0.6 percent to close at 52,093.11, while the Nasdaq Composite fell by 204.84 points or 0.8 percent to finish at 25,981.57.

The S&P 500 also experienced a decline of 34.25 points or 0.5 percent, closing at 7,585.73. Despite moving off their session lows, the major averages remained firmly in negative territory by the end of the day.
