The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has accused Iran of attacking an Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack, calling it a 'flagrant violation' of UN Security Council resolution 2817, which affirms the importance of freedom of navigation.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the UAE is taking steps to protect its rights and interests in the waterway.

Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the UAE president, emphasized that repeated attacks on the Strait of Hormuz will not deter the UAE from advancing deterrence, diplomacy, and adherence to international law.
