UAE-Germany Energy Partnership Unlocks €5 Billion in Investment
The UAE and Germany have expanded their energy partnership with several agreements that could unlock over €5 billion in investment across gas, wind, and technology. The deals were signed during the state visit to Germany by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
ADNOC, XRG, and Masdar have already invested more than €20 billion in Germany's energy and industrial sectors. Their existing investments provide enough power for around four million German households.
The agreements involve major German companies such as RWE, Securing Energy for Europe, MB Energy, Covestro, Siemens Energy, and Bosch Middle East. ADNOC and RWE Supply & Trading GmbH signed a Letter of Intent to work towards up to two long-term LNG sales and purchase agreements, supplying LNG to Germany and Europe from ADNOC Gas and XRG's growing LNG portfolio.
