Gold prices in the Gulf region edged up slightly on August 4, 2026, tracking international bullion prices despite continued investor interest in safe-haven assets. In the United Arab Emirates, 24K gold was quoted at AED 485.50 per gram, while similar trends were observed in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Kuwait City, Doha, and Muscat.

Bullion is supported globally by geopolitical uncertainty in West Asia, US Federal Reserve interest rate outlook expectations, and a softer US dollar. MCX Gold October futures gained 0.48% to ₹1,43,597 per 10 grams, reflecting positive investor sentiment in the Indian market.

Prices remained largely stable, tracking international spot prices, with demand driven by jewellery buyers and long-term investors. The UAE has low import duties, a competitive jewellery market, and tax advantages, making gold purchases relatively economical.
