UAE Gold Prices Drop Amid Strong USD
Gold prices took a hit in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, according to data compiled by FXStreet. The price of Gold stood at 477.45 UAE Dirhams (AED) per gram, down from Monday's rate of AED 481.37. The price decrease was also reflected in the Tola measure, with Gold now costing AED 5,568.87 per unit compared to AED 5,614.58 a day earlier.
The decline in Gold prices is a reflection of the asset's inverse correlation with the US Dollar (USD). When the USD strengthens, it tends to put downward pressure on Gold prices. The strong USD has been a major factor in the recent decline in Gold prices globally.
FXStreet calculates Gold prices in the UAE by adapting international prices to local currency and measurement units. Prices are updated daily based on market rates taken at the time of publication, and may diverge slightly from local rates.
