UAE Gold Prices Tumble Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Gold prices in the UAE remain under scrutiny on October 1, 2026, amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the US-Iran conflict. This has led to a surge in demand for gold, with buyers closely monitoring the latest rates across major cities.
According to various sources, including Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the current gold prices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ajman are as follows: 24-karat gold is priced at AED 500.00 per gram, while 22-karat gold is priced at AED 463.00 per gram. In comparison, 18-karat gold is slightly lower at AED 380.50 per gram.
iGold.ae also reported similar prices, with a slight variation in figures: 24-karat gold is priced at AED 501.67 per gram, while 22-karat gold is priced at AED 464.48 per gram.
Prithviraj Kothari, President of India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd., commented on the current market situation: 'Gold and silver slid further as traders waited on the US jobs report, with monthly losses of 8.5% and 13.5%. The dollar hit a three-month high on rising Treasury yields, while fresh uncertainty over the Iran ceasefire talks kept inflation worries very much alive.'
