UAE Suspends Trade with Iran Amid Rising Tensions

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has suspended all trade activities with Iran due to recent regional escalation and missile attacks on maritime navigation. The UAE Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this move in a statement, citing the need to protect regional and international peace and security.

This decision comes after the UAE Defence Ministry confirmed that two ballistic missiles were launched from Iran, targeting maritime vessels. Although both missiles fell into the sea, this incident marks the first attack since an early May strike on Fujairah port.

The Emirates has accused Iran of targeting at least three Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) linked vessels transiting the strait since last week. More than 15 vessels have been attacked since the start of the war, raising concerns over oil prices and regional security.
