UK Sends Limited Military Support to Saudi Arabia Amid Houthi Attacks

Britain has agreed to provide limited military support to Saudi Arabia in its defense against attacks by Yemen's Houthis, which are described as being backed by Iran.

The UK will send a Royal Air Force Voyager tanker aircraft to provide in-flight refuelling for Saudi aircraft involved in 'defensive' missions. The support is expected to begin in the coming days and will be reviewed after several weeks, according to British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.

Burnham explained that the decision was made to protect UK interests and regional stability, as well as to keep oil supply routes open. He condemned the Houthi attacks and expressed London's commitment to working with partners for the protection of civilians and humanitarian access.
