Ukraine Attacks Halt Caspian Pipeline Operations

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has temporarily suspended operations on its main pipeline, which carries oil from Kazakhstan to Russia's Novorossiysk terminal. This move comes after a series of attacks by Ukraine on tanker ships and production facilities in the region.

Kazakh authorities have emphasized that despite the pause in pipeline operations, they continue to receive crude oil from transporters, with fuel being stored in their tanks. Additional increases in transport volumes depend on the timely availability of tanker ships for loading at the maritime terminal.

The attacks by Ukraine have also forced Kazakhstan to reduce its oil production levels. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced new attacks targeting Russian oil facilities, including a cargo ship called the 'Yanina' that was successfully sunk.
