Ukraine Drives Russian Oil Exports to Halt at Key Black Sea Terminal

Russia's largest Black Sea oil export terminal in Novorossiysk has suspended operations due to increased drone attacks by Ukraine, disrupting around one-fifth of Russia's seaborne crude exports.

The Sheskharis terminal, which handled an average of about 650,000 barrels of oil per day during the first seven months of this year, ceased loading tankers on Tuesday morning.

This move comes after recent attacks also interrupted operations at the nearby Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) export terminal and forced Kazakhstan to reduce oil production. The disruption is seen as a sign that Ukraine's expanding drone campaign is affecting Russia's energy export infrastructure.
