Ukraine's military has launched a drone attack on the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, Russia, sparking a fire at the facility. The refinery is one of Russia's largest oil-refining enterprises and part of PJSC Slavneft.

The Slavneft-YANOS refinery has a capacity to process around 15 million tons of oil per year, or approximately 300,000 barrels per day (bpd). It produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, lubricants, and other petroleum products.

Ukraine's forces have targeted the refinery several times in recent years, with the latest attack being part of a broader campaign to worsen Russia's domestic fuel crisis. Ukraine claims that its fuels are supplying the Russian army, saying 'work against key enemy facilities continues.'
