Ukraine Extends Payment Deadlines for Agricultural Exporters Amid Martial Law
The Ukrainian government has expanded the list of goods for which exporters can receive extensions on payment deadlines, up to 180 days. This decision aims to support agricultural exports during martial law and minimize risks of violating currency legislation.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, logistical challenges due to Russian attacks on port infrastructure have increased delivery times by 40-50%. The government's move will allow exporters to operate under these conditions without additional financial risks.
The expanded list includes wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, soybeans, rapeseed or colza seeds, sunflower seeds, soy, sunflower, rapeseed, or mustard oil, as well as oil cake. The decision is crucial for preserving Ukraine's export potential and ensuring currency inflows.
