Ukraine Extends Preferential Gas Prices Until End of Heating Season

The Ukrainian government has extended preferential gas prices for the population and heat producers until March 31, coinciding with the end of the heating season.

According to Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky, this decision was made under the moratorium on tariff increases introduced by Parliament during martial law, taking into account Ukraine's difficult socio-economic situation.

Koretsky noted that the government is working to improve the tariff policy system and introduce fair and transparent tariff formation while increasing targeted assistance to those in need.

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal emphasized that this will preserve preferential tariffs for heat supply enterprises, extend terms for natural gas sales to operators, and ensure a reliable and uninterrupted gas supply.
