Ukraine Fuel Prices Unfazed by Global Oil Market Volatility
The global oil market experienced a brief dip in prices last week when Brent crude fell below $100 per barrel, but it has since rebounded. The price of A-95 petrol and diesel in Ukraine remains relatively unchanged at an average of 89.26 UAH and 98.50 UAH per litre respectively.
The fall in oil prices was attributed to increased supplies from the Gulf states and expectations of diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts in the Middle East. However, the diesel market continues to face pressure due to shortages and concerns over possible restrictions on exports from the US.
A significant factor influencing fuel prices in Ukraine is the cost of importing refined products, which accounts for around 95% of total supplies. Disruptions to usual supply routes from the Middle East have contributed to the diesel shortage and increased its price.
