Ukraine Grain Exports Decline in September Despite Wheat Boost
Ukraine's grain exports saw a significant decline in September, according to data from UkrAgroConsult. The country exported approximately 1.488 million tons of grains and pulses during the month, down by 863 thousand tons or 36.7% compared to the same period last year.
Despite this decrease, wheat exports experienced a substantial increase, reaching 1.094 million tons - a 957 thousand ton hike or 1.8 times more than in September of the previous season.
In contrast, barley shipments plummeted to 80 thousand tons, nearly three times lower than in September of the previous year. Ukraine did not export any rye during this period.
Corn exports also saw a notable surge, totaling 309 thousand tons - up by 269 thousand tons or 7.7 times compared to the previous month of the marketing year.
