Ukraine Reaches Target Gas Reserves Ahead of Schedule
Ukraine has secured enough natural gas to ensure a stable heating season in 2026-2027, according to Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal. The country has accumulated 14.6 billion cubic meters of gas in its underground storage facilities, meeting the target benchmarks for the baseline scenario of passing through winter.
This achievement allows for a confident outlook on the upcoming autumn-winter period, and Shmyhal thanked energy sector workers for their efforts. However, he also highlighted that work continues in other areas important for Ukraine's energy security.
