Ukraine Secures Guaranteed Capacity in Klaipėda LNG Terminal
Ukraine has secured guaranteed capacity in the future Klaipėda LNG terminal, according to Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky. The new terminal is currently under construction and expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Koretsky did not specify the volume of the guaranteed capacity but stated that it will enable Ukraine to ensure stable gas supplies for energy resilience and security. He thanked Ukraine's partners for their cooperation in securing this deal.
The Klaipėda LNG terminal is valued at over EUR 50 million, and its construction is being carried out by KN Energies. In June 2026, Naftogaz Group booked long-term LNG regasification capacity at the terminal for the period from 2033 to 2044.
