Ukraine Secures Guaranteed LNG Capacity at Lithuanian Terminal

Ukraine's Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi announced that the country will have guaranteed capacity at a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Klaipeda, Lithuania. This development is part of Ukraine's efforts to enhance its energy resilience and security.

The LNG terminal in Klaipeda is currently under construction and is expected to provide Ukraine with secure supplies of LNG once commissioned. According to Koretskyi, this commitment was made by Ukraine as part of its obligations in exchange for guaranteed capacity at the terminal.

In addition to energy cooperation, the two prime ministers discussed defense industry issues, including air defense and anti-ballistic programs. Koretskyi expressed gratitude for Lithuania's support for Ukraine's accession to the EU and its readiness to prioritize Ukraine during its presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2027.
