Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Refinery Over 2,000 km From Border

The Ukrainian military has launched an attack on the Tyumen Oil Refinery in Russia, located over 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The refinery, one of the largest deep-refining facilities in the Ural Federal District, was hit by drones, causing a large-scale fire at one of its oil refining units.

The unit is protected by an anti-drone net, but the attack still managed to cause significant damage. A plume of smoke can be seen rising from another location at the refinery, likely due to a pressure relief at the facility.

The governor of the Tyumen region, Alexandr Moor, confirmed that there was a fire on the refinery's premises. The Tyumen Oil Refinery has a primary refining capacity exceeding 9 million metric tons of crude oil per year, with a refining depth of 98%.
