Ukraine Strikes Russia's Tyumen Oil Refinery with Long-Range Drones
A Ukrainian drone strike on July 25 has halted operations at Russia's Tyumen oil refinery. The facility, over 2,000 kilometers from Ukraine, has a nominal capacity of about 9 million metric tons of crude oil per year.
The attack, carried out by the Special Operations Forces' Deep Strike units in collaboration with the Black Spark resistance movement, targeted key units at the refinery.
Anti-drone netting failed to prevent the strike, and fires broke out at a diesel hydrotreatment unit and high-octane gasoline production unit.
