Ukraine Sunflower Prices Decline Amid Harvesting Campaign
Sunflower prices in Ukraine have been declining on the domestic market, according to data from APK-Inform. The most significant decrease was recorded in central regions due to the active promotion of the harvesting campaign and a massive supply of oilseeds.
In the central and eastern regions, demand prices for oilseeds were mainly in the range of 16,500-17,500 UAH/ton EXW. In western regions, demand prices ranged from 18,000-19,000 UAH/ton EXW. Southern regions saw demand prices reach 19,500-20,000 UAH/ton EXW, where competition with export-oriented companies intensified.
The decline in sunflower prices is largely due to the increased supply of oilseeds from the harvesting campaign. While prices have remained relatively stable in western and northern regions, they have strengthened slightly in southern regions due to competition from exporters.
