Ukraine to Get New Corn Processing Plant in Odesa Region
A new corn processing plant is planned for construction in the Odesa region of Ukraine. The facility, owned by LLC 'Biostarch Technologies', will be built within the industrial park of Zelenohirske village in the Podilskyi district.
The designed capacity of the complex is 600 tons of corn per day, which translates to approximately 198 thousand tons per year. From this amount, the company plans to annually obtain about 139,320 tons of corn starch, with a daily production of around 422 tons.
According to Finway, the main product will be corn starch, but the production technology will also allow for the extraction of several valuable by-products, including gluten, corn germ, dry extract, and granulated feed from the mash. The plant's logistics have been well-thought-out, with convenient access to road and rail routes ensuring efficient supply of raw materials and transportation of finished products.
The project envisages a complete production cycle: receiving, cleaning, and drying the grain to its storage and processing by wet milling. A grain storage facility with a capacity of 36,400 tons will be built for the needs of the enterprise, which will ensure continuous operation according to the calculated capacity.
