Ukraine Updates Grain Export Protection Plan Amid Ongoing Conflict

Ukraine is updating its plan to protect grain exports, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. The update comes after meetings with top officials, including Chief of Staff Mykhailo Drapatyi and Acting Minister of Defense Yevhenii Khymera.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of coordination among security and defense sector leaders in addressing the challenges facing Ukraine's grain exports. He highlighted that Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky is working on economic and infrastructure alternatives to support Ukraine's resilience.

The President also stressed the need for public-private partnerships (PPPs) to help Ukraine address its needs, particularly with regards to fuel supply and additional export routes. Zelensky noted that key partner countries must be informed about the situation in Ukraine, including Russian strikes against Ukrainian people and the prolongation of Russia's war.

Zelensky acknowledged that understanding from partners is crucial, stating that all agreements must be fulfilled promptly and that diplomats must act faster to highlight Ukraine's needs. He emphasized that PPPs are a top priority for addressing these challenges.
