Ukraine's Agricultural Exports Surge Amid Shift Towards Higher-Value Goods
Ukraine's agricultural sector has made significant strides in its export performance, shipping out 1.6 million tons of goods in just over three weeks into September.
This marks a steady recovery in exports, with a notable shift towards higher-value products such as oilseeds, oils, and meals. According to Taras Vysotskyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, the country has reached 43% of its targeted volume for the month.
The breakdown of exported goods reveals that grain exports accounted for 38%, while oilseeds made up 75% of the target. Oils and meals also showed significant growth, reaching 55% and 41% respectively.
Despite this progress, challenges persist due to damaged storage facilities and logistical complexities, which may lead to short-term supply disruptions and a modest price increase of approximately 2.5%. However, the draft State Budget for 2027 allocates UAH 7.4 billion to support the agricultural sector.
