Ukraine's Grain Exports Plummet Amid Global Market Shifts

Ukraine's grain exports have experienced a decline in the current marketing year. As of September 4, the country has exported 3.9 million tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 14% less than the previous season. The majority of these exports were wheat, with almost 1.8 million tonnes shipped abroad, representing a 40% decrease from last year.

Barley shipments have also seen a significant decline, with only 369,000 tonnes exported to foreign markets, a drop of 43% compared to the same period in the previous season. Rye exports remain minimal, totaling just 0.2 thousand tonnes, while corn exports have increased by 91%, reaching 1.7 million tonnes.

Flour exports from Ukraine have also decreased, amounting to 13.9 thousand tonnes, a decline of 31% compared to the previous season.
