Ukraine's Grain Exports Surge 55% in First Month

Ukraine's grain exports have seen a significant boost in the first month of the 2026/27 marketing year. According to data from the State Customs Service, the country has shipped out 2.6 million tons of grains and pulses, representing a 55% increase compared to the same period last season.

This surge is largely driven by wheat exports, which have risen by 42% year over year, reaching 1.07 million tons. Barley exports have also seen an uptick, increasing by 10% to 294 thousand tons. Meanwhile, corn exports have more than doubled, totaling 1.2 million tons.

However, the country's flour exports have taken a hit, declining by 50% year over year to 1.7 thousand tons. Notably, no rye exports have been recorded so far in this marketing year.
