Ukrainian Agricultural Exports Through Alternative Routes Show Modest Improvement

The Ukrainian government has reported that 630 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported through alternative routes in September. This represents about 40% of the volumes that could have been exported if logistics were fully operational.

In August, this figure was 33%, indicating an improvement in export volumes through alternative routes. However, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi emphasized that only 40% of the required volume is being met due to complicated logistics.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has been working with international partners to provide tools for farmers to store crops and ensure liquidity in conditions of complicated logistics. This includes free receipt of polymer sleeves for temporary grain storage, with over $12 million allocated for this direction.
