Ukrainian Agricultural Market Sees Prices Decline Amid Weak Export Statistics
The agricultural market in Ukraine has experienced significant changes over the past week, according to data from AgroMarket UUB on the Ukrainian Universal Exchange. The period covered is from September 18 to 24, 2026.
Local corn markets remain relatively inactive, with both trading pace and price indicators showing little movement. However, there are concerns about logistic capacities becoming increasingly overloaded due to alternative export routes. Additionally, demand in western borders has been inconsistent, which does not alleviate the pressure of an anticipated influx of a new harvest in October.
The average domestic corn price decreased by 0.90% to 6,713.67 UAH/ton, while port prices at DAP-Danube reached $169.5/ton. On the Chicago exchange, the December corn contract dropped to $207.7/ton on September 24 due to weak export statistics from the USA.
The Ukrainian wheat market is characterized by passive interest from importers and limited export routes, leading to a gradual decline in prices. However, an increase in demand on the Danube led to a selective strengthening of feed batches. The average domestic price for 2nd-class wheat decreased by 0.01% to 6,300.11 UAH/ton.
The sunflower market continued its downward trend due to increasing raw material supply and the fall in sunflower oil prices, forcing companies to adjust their indicators daily. At the end of the week, the pace of decline somewhat slowed down as the market entered a phase of price stabilization.
