Ukrainian Farmer Recommends Focusing on Oil Crops Over Wheat

The head of LLC 'Slav Agro', Vyacheslav Kabanenko, believes that growing wheat is no longer profitable at current prices. He suggests that farmers keep wheat in their crop rotation but focus more on oil crops like sunflowers and soybeans.

According to Kabanenko, the economic component of growing wheat has become negligible, making it a less reliable source of income compared to other crops. Oil crops, he notes, have higher value and lower logistics costs.

Kabanenko advises farmers not to rely solely on one or two crops, but rather maintain a balanced crop rotation that includes wheat as an element.
