Saudi Arabia said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones launched from Iraqi territory by Iran-backed militias, while the US Central Command and Saudi Defense Ministry said they struck multiple sites in eastern Iraq used to direct drone attacks.
The strikes reflect growing concerns that the conflict could spread further, with oil prices rising by more than $3 per barrel following the attack.
