The US and Saudi Arabia have conducted joint precision strikes against Iranian proxy forces in Iraq, according to the US Central Command. The strikes targeted groups linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which had been ordered to attack US forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.

Over 30 drone attacks by the IRGC were carried out over the past 72 hours, prompting the joint response from the US and Saudi Arabia. A US official stated that this is 'a clear signal that we will not leave these attempts unanswered.'

The Saudi Ministry of Defense said they carried out 'limited, targeted strikes' against Iran-backed militias in Iraq, which were linked to attacks on Saudi oil facilities. This marks the first time Riyadh has taken responsibility for carrying out strikes inside Iraq since the start of the Iran-U.S. war.
