US Backs Argentina LNG Project with Up to $6 Billion Financing Pledge
The United States government has announced its support for Argentina's flagship liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, which is expected to receive up to $6 billion in financing from U.S. agencies.
The project, led by Argentine energy group YPF and Italian firm Eni, aims to build an integrated LNG value chain spanning upstream gas production through export infrastructure.
The Export-Import Bank of the United States has issued a non-binding indicative term sheet for up to $6 billion in financing, which will support the procurement of U.S. goods and services needed for infrastructure development and production activities.
